Data Ack Amazing. Compare 2 laps, one slower by a second and you can finally see why!!! Not enough throttle early on corner exit. Now I finally believe what everyone's been telling me.. LOL. -Still learning but this seems like cheating.. (after you spend 10 hrs figuring it out).. Always wondered why that one lap was 2 second slower, when it seemed faster. -- Any advise please add.. still learning!!!!
I'm assuming this is the Data Logger system as found on the BMWs? Funny you should mention that learning the system took so long... I've always guessed that this would be the hump that people would have to get over before it's accepted. Data Aquisition guys in the paddock make a lot of money interpreting data and changing settings. Joe track rider isn't going to learn it and be proficient in an afternoon! Still, nice tool to have when you're working on something specific. Can you post up some examples of areas you may have been working on something and overlays of different laps? I'd like to see how the tool is helping you! -Tom
Hi, I took a screen shot and added some details.. Basically this shows Coming out of Turn 5 at BHF. I super imposed and Synchronized a fast lap (blue lines and dot, with a 2 sec slower lap. .red). In summary between points A-B on the GPS (which correspond to A-B on the graph i marked). .blue gained .5 sec. Then to figure out why. I saw blue got on the throttle much harder earlier. 85% vs 41%. And then I can see the Speed of blue was actually 10mph faster.. -- Ohh.. Just noticed that blue had a better line. Red turned in too early. and couldn't get on throttle.. Poor guy.. (ahh. same guy diff lap.. LOL) -- the tool lets you expand the google earth so you can really see the lines good. Pretty cool, Dang. this would be a great job.. but I bet it's competitive.. It wasn't too bad for me as I work on sw like 10 hrs a day, and seen some guys use data ack as well.. LOL..
