Castrol SRF Brake FLuid??

It's not that. You just need to check the ego. You list a bunch or race series in your signature and it is assumed you've raced at the AMA pro level. So, no need to say anything.

Also, you might want to consider just dropping the signature with everything listed. It's just kinda weird seeing when you google your name, only the Superbikers 2 comes up.

It just helps your cause, man. Quiet and humble and let your riding do the talking. Know what I mean? Nothing wrong with posting your race number and series, but listing the long list and saying you're fast just makes people think you might be a little arrogant.

Trust me, lots of us are arrogant. But not a lot of guys saying they are fast and listing all the series they've raced, etc.

Lets not forget safety aspects, MSDS on SRF is vague on hand PPE, while RBF has a slightly higher bioaccumulative potential (while still very low)..

If this doesn't sound familiar, it should. The guy might be slower than a monkey doing algebra, but he knows of what he speaks. There are a million sayings about this: "actions speak louder than words" "speak softly and carry a big stick" "legend in your own mind" "no one gives a F#ck about how great you were, or are. The more you tell them, the less they care" ( the last one is my own)

Try a little humility, you may find that you are not as polarizing in your posts. Its not about what you have or how you got it. Its about coming across arrogant to people you have never met, but proclaim to want to get to know. Give them reasons to want to meet you, other than the stuff you have or to bow at your feet, and you will find less opposition.

That being said, if you choose to continue in the same manner you are now, don't say you weren't warned or people didn't try to help.. repeatedly.

Im used to a German race forum and its a lot rougher there then it is here. :bounce: Everybody believes his opinion is the only way to go. (well if you know them Germans you know thats how they are!:lmao.
However especially when it comes down to who is how fast on any given track there is a simple solution to settle who has the bigger bragging right. We call it "Ansage" what means Announcement but here I guess Challenge would be the word to go. So one is saying he is the fastest on track A or can run a 1:XX:XX. Now the next guy(s) is challenging him by announcing a better time together with whats at stake (usually beers or Bourbon or other fun stuff). It grows in all funny directions what the challenge can be (gap in a race, time difference on a singe lap, faster tire change, who fits in the suit in the spring, you name it).
Then you meet up at the track and race for it. Usually a lot of fun especially if you dont know the other guy at all. So you can end up racing a AMA guy and eat your boot afterwards.....:thumb:

So I just start to get it going: I will be 0.500 seconds faster per lap then FastGuy68 at Grattan CW or CCW! If he beats me he gets a 12 pack of finest German dark beer!

 

Not one to back down from a challenge I accept! But, and that's a big but keep in mind I have never been to Gratten. Now if you want to change it to Road America I would spot you some time each lap. :thumb: Another thing to keep in mind is I will also be a Putnam in 2 weeks if you wanna come South a bit. I have never been there either.......
Also, if you are faster I'll buy you the beer on the other hand if I am faster I'll just be happy with a liter of ice cold chocolate milk!!

 

I'm sure we can figure out a time and place! its all for the fun of it man, nothing better then a good challange. if u don't like beer we can substitute with any other thing u do enjoy. Even milk!

Ok, well I am up to go to Gratten this summer. I was originally going to be there for Easter Weekend but the cold weather made me decide to go South a little farther to Putnam instead. I'm praying to the track gods that the track temps will be above 50 deg. Otherwise I'm not looking forwards to turn 4 there. :fear:

gettting back to topic,
i use castrol synth. something, that i bought for 4.99 at cycle gear.

 

Im using Amsoil brakefluid this year. It has a similar dry boiling point to the Castrol. Wet boiling point is lower than Castrol, but since I change it mid trackday season, it shouldnt be a problem.
