Need to learn me some more about body position if I'm ever going to move out of N. Anyone have one that's been sitting around they can part with for cheap?
"Ok then I am the flipside of this coin. I've done 6 total days so far, 2 last year, 4 this year, and I've crashed 3 times. One of which required ambulance ride and 2 ct scans. No major injuries but that concussion did suck and so does all the shit my wife and family still give me for that." Not trying to criticize but not sure not having a camera is what is keeping you in novice!
Did you read the rest of the thread, specifically the descriptions of the crashes? Have a camera for sale?
I did this all winter in the garage when I had bp issues Put the bike on BOTH stands and practice like the novice drills. To make it better, have a tv/monitor in front of you playing clips of a track you know, like grattan. Cheap and easy way to work on bp.
Cool idea. A friend let me borrow his GoPro at Putnam a few weeks back. While riding, I was sure I was hanging off the bike like a champ. The video and the Electric Eye photos revealed that I was getting my ass and my hip off the seat, but my head was still in line with the center of the bike. I hit Gingerman for bike night last Friday. I was concentrating on getting my head out there. I feel better about it now. Figured having the camera for Trackfest would work as a nice learning tool to see the difference between that and the Putnam videos. Same friend has offered to lend GoPro to me again, but I'm trying to permanently fix the problem of not having a GoPro, on the cheap I should add
All my YouTube vids since 2012 have been shot with contour cameras. You can pick up a Contour Roam 2 for about $100 on Amazon. Then get the contour to gopro mount adapters. It lets you use the more available gopro mounts.
The Gopro Hero 3+ Silver Edition is $210 on STG. Pretty sure that's the lowest I've seen on this. I bought my Hero 2 for $150 used last summer, and I typically see them going for $120(just the camera) to around $160(with a bunch of accessories) to give you an idea for a price. http://www.sportbiketrackgear.com/gopro-hero3-silver-edition-camera/
Check out the SJ4000, it is a gopro knock off. I think I paid less than $100 for mine. Check out the reviews.
The basic GoPros have gotten pretty cheap... $129.99: http://www.amazon.com/GoPro-CHDHA-3...8&qid=1438956034&sr=1-5&keywords=gopro+hero+4
Thanks for all the help, gentlemen. I had forgot my friend had told me about the Contour as well.. I am going to try and procure a GoPro first so I can see for myself what all the fuss is about.
Well now I am thinking about at Contour. Can it be fitted to the nose of the bike easily? Its shape makes me think it can't go right in the center of the nose like the GoPro can.
