Adjustable Lowering Link on a Track Bike?

    I don't know much about these. A used Triumph 675 that I am interested in buying has one on it. "Max adjust 4", currently set at 2" ". I'd probably like it set back to the stock height, but could I leave the adjustable link on there? Would this cause any issues on a track bike?

    If you don't NEED it, i'd take it off and swap in a normal link. Or set it back to stock position and leave it. Changing the link, changes the leverage ratio on the shock. This screws up your spring rate and shock valving rates. It also changes the swingarm angle and rear ride height of course. Which also screws up all the geometry. Put to stock or in one spot near stock, get sorted out and leave it.
