Been about 7 years since I high sided at Barbers. Have been slowly getting all the gear and convincing the wife to let me get back at it. She has finally came around and agreed that it is safer than riding on the street with all these people that text and drive and don’t pay any attention. Just need to get some alterations to my suit and find a pair of gloves that fit my short fingers.
I haven't been on a track in over 30 years but will be doing Talladega. Suit alterations eh? LOL. Reminds me of when I tried to put on my old suit last year and I couldn't come close to getting it on. Used to fit off the rack but now need custom to fit my current oversquare layout. Anyway, you won't be the only noob coming back to the track from the past. Hoping to be a regular again if the novice group is slow enough.
I will join the group of returnees to the track. I did several back in 08-09, crashed on the street and lost left leg below the knee. Been riding cruisers ever since because that knee won't bend past 90 degrees. I have finally found a loophole in the Honda NC700X with DCT auto trans with a forward peg mounted on it, so now I am able to carve corners again. Right now I am planning on signing up for Tally in September.
