It could, it just wouldn't be very fun. I'd probably advise against it. I used to pull about the same weight back when I was rock crawling with a GMC 3/4 ton 2500HD with the 6.0 gas engine in it and it was just right for something like that. Before, I pulled it with a GMC Yukon with the 5.3L and it wasn't fun at all. Had to run the guts out of the Yukon to pull it. Difference between half ton and 3/4 ton isn't necessarily the engine (unless going to diesel), but the axle gearing, transmission, and brakes. You might can pull it, but can you stop it? Trailer brakes help though. But pulling something that heavy, and especially that catches as much wind as a toy hauler over long distance is hell on a transmission that doesn't have a cooler like 3/4 tons have. Although you can add one to your truck. Axle gearing is key as well. 1/2 tons are usually geared more toward fuel efficiency which equates to less pulling power. It'd probably be changing gears, constantly downshifting and killing rpm's to maintain interstate speeds.
Yeah, I asked few of other buddies and they said no no! I would need to upgrade my truck lol.. I probably will get a smaller toy hauler or 7x16 enclosed trailer. When are you doing next track day ?
Yep, you could get it from point A to point B, but it would be sketchy and hell on your truck. but it could be done! LOL I'm going to Tally Saturday, then planning on doing Barber in early November. I would like to do Barber in October but it's on the wife's bday weekend, so I must wait til November. Then I will probably finish off the year with the end of year bash at Tally Thanksgiving weekend, maybe that Saturday.
