They aren't or they would be on last night The Akra's are larger than stock so I need to pull headers and get gaskets by today or be loud... plug your ears :croc: We did OK but he flaked on the last day and we lost the first round then went undefeated. But round one was against the winning team so we got put out The rest of the team was fine as this is the first year they even had a chance but being an uncompetitive type I am less 'OK' with it :lmao:
Mostly loaded up and heading out in less than 24 hours! Gonna do the museum on Sat, and I group on Sun. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there.
Sitting at work with the truck fully packed up...waiting to go...patiently...gahhhh, let's go clock!!!
Hope all you guys and gals have a blast this weekend. I'm going to join you all one of these days as soon as I can work up a track bike. I'm 56 and not getting any younger but I'm in fairly good shape for my age so I'm really wanting to do this. We were over at Barbar this past weekend and I met a guy from Michigan that turned a KDX200 dirtbike into a track bike, lowered susp, changed the sprocket, street tires and a after market exhaust is all he did to it. He was turning 2.04, not bad for a dirtbike with street tires. He had raced some in the past but wanted to do something a little different. Got me to thinking about my kdx200.
Hey, are you the guys dad that works with me? I remember a while back he was talking about his dad wanting to get on the track and I told him about the ride right thing. If so that's cool you made your way over here! *Only reason I'm assuming this is because he is from Rockmart (I believe) and you're in your 50's.
That's me...Good to hear from you, I was going to ask my son your forum name. I'm hoping to put something together next year and have some fun with you guys. I need to pick your brain and find out how to set the bike up for the track. I would rather have a different bike instead of the one I use regular but my funds are limited too. Maybe I can pick up a cheap 650 that has some cosmetic damage that I can use. Thanks for the reply, pm me and maybe we can meet up some time.
hey. ive prepared my bike for sun. but am worried about my brake pad wear. there's no percent ive found thats a minimum....what would cause me to fail tech? ill be in the novice class if that makes any difference
Had a great time today and couldn't ask for better weather conditions. I'd like to personally thank STT for a putting down a great event and all the work to make it happen. Looking forward to next year's schedule. This was my 2nd time at Barber. My best time was 1:51 (ye I know.... lol ) ya'll have fun and safe riding tomorrow. quick pic...
If anyone has video of Int session 2 Saturday, I'd like to see my get off at the end of the front straight. Engine locked up and bucked me off. Thanks if you can help.
