I've got one in the trailer and I made a strap to secure it, plus a hoist to lift it up when I need to fill with it. I've had mine for about 4 or 5 years with no issues. You can see it in this picture and the little rope hoist attached to the top of the of the fuel cell.
The only issue I have seen with getting one is the gas stations around me say max portable fill can is 6 gallons.... Now I know its not likely they will come over and do anything about it but... At Costco where I try to get most of my gas they are on you like a hawk!
Why would they even care? A sale of product is a sale of product. Is there some law in Ohio that forbids more than 6 gallons in a portable container?
I read in some states there is a maximum on the size of gas cans and puts limits on transportation. I'm guessing it is not a gas station choice, they might get fined if they allow to pump on "unapproved" containers. BTW how does this gravity powered caddy compare to a flo-fast pump?
I use the caddy to fill my can with the flo-fast after it goes empty. The pump is definitely faster and I can take it to the bike instead of having to bring the bike to the caddy hanging in the trailer. I've got a set of old shoulders and it's too much of a pain to lift a regular 5 gal. Can and put into the bike tanks.
I went ahead and bought it. I need to work on the wheels they don't roll very well. If it doesn't work out, I'll post it for sale on here.
