Where exactly does one introduce themselves when the place they find that has all the introductions tells them they have insufficient status to post there?

OK then. Hello everyone. I'm Roger and I ride a 1995 Honda VFR750. I bought this bike in July and got the notion that I wanted to do some track days. I pushed myself further into this path by going on the WERA board and buying a Hein Gericke suit a guy was selling and made a deal with a friend who is an Alpinestars dealer to get my gloves and boots. I've further committed to the track path with the order of the OE suspension parts that will accompany the fork and shock upgrades that will take out the "softness" of the stock issue system.
I'm looking forward to experiencing the Barber facility at a level beyond the "parade laps" I have done, as well as being able to (finally) enjoy a sportbike as it was meant to be ridden, without the nagging concerns of police, animals, and inattentive cell phone operating drivers. I look forward to meeting you at the Barber and Tally days, hopefully a good number of them.

Hello and nice looking bike. What a place to be introduced to track days, wish it was a lot closer to me.

Looking forward to a report or 5 about your track day's. Always great to hear from riders who get catch the bug.
A couple of video's will be great.

Welcome Roger! Make sure you set some time aside to visit the museum while you're at Barber. It's awesome and being in there while bikes are screaming around the track makes it that much more exciting! I rode there this year on Saturday and then the morning sessions on Sunday and spent the afternoon in the museum, amazing......

Thank you for all your kind welcomes. Shane, I'm hoping you'll help me get around both Alabama tracks and up to speed over (what I hope) will be a few visits over the course of 2016. '196paul', you're right on about the museum. I have done it few times and loved their work to such a level that I actually donated a bike to them when I was attending the 2012 Vintage Fest, though when I went there this year I didn't see it on display as of yet.

1973 Suzuki GT185. I got it from the first owner. It was completely original, right down to the tires it had on it when it first arrived to the US. It only had 6,200 miles on it. Refurbished it with the help of a friend who was a Suzuki mechanic back when these things were new. I saved all the original parts that were replaced to make it roadworthy in case I wanted to return it to original form. I'm betting that when it does finally get a place in the museum, they will have reinstalled them as there is nothing quite like a 100% original survivor.
