Lookie what I made! (new 29er)

Finally decided to step up to the 29er ranks. Unlike the last build I did which required assistance from the LBS for a few tasks (fork cutting/mounting, headset pressing, etc.), I purchased all the needed tools and did this build completely myself. Thanks Brian. Your bike looks great! You have the fork I was going to get if I hadn't gotten the raging deal I got on my Reba Race. You'll have to let me know how you like it.

I'm excited to get out on this thing! I'd like to do some rides down your way as well, so we'll have to work something out once riding season is upon us...

 

That's sweet- both of them. I should be getting mine soon as well, although nowhere near as trick...

For some reason the 29'ers never appealed to me. Being a bigger guy that's weird, especially as they suit my former roadie (momentum management) riding style, but I suppose I like the "Monkey humping a football" thing.

Nice looking bike man!

I too prefer 26", but Im a huge proponent of lightness in a MTB, though that's just what I prefer. Some of my buddies who ride 29ers roll over crap I have to hop over or at least pull the front off the ground. Still, I think that's more fun.

If I did more downhill and less x-country I'd probably pick a 29er up. I just hate cranking that extra weight up hill.

Regardless of my pref of tire size, that is a sexy bike man, well built. Enjoy the hell out of that sucker.

I don't know when your trails dry out and will be rideable, but when that happens I'll be getting with you & Healea so we can meet up down your way & do some ridin'!

Well I'll wait 'til you guys say conditions are good. I don't wanna make the trip for sub-par conditions, especially if we can make a weekend of it
