Monte, how do you like the Spyder? I've been trying to decide between a Spyder, Jet9, Ventana El Rey and a Titus Rockstar. Can't seem to find a lot of info on the Spyder or Rockstar though...

    My currrent quiver is:

Intense Tracer VP set up 140mm front and rear
Intense Spider 29 set up 120mm front and rear
Voodoo Souki (steel hardtail) with a 100mm fork.

I have been looking for A 29er that fit my style and one that is a good all around trail bike but can be pressed into race duty if need be.

VPP suspension is great but the Intense VPP bikes are VERY sensitive to having unbalanced set up. If the rear and front are not very closely matched one will over power the other and the bike sucks. Once I found my sweet numbers (25% sag rear and 20% front) and dialed in the compression and rebound I have been extremely happy with the Spider 29.

I am running the Bontrager Team XR4 tires tubeless and this set up rocks. I run about 23 front and rear.

The ThruAxle rear is nice and adds some stiffness where the Intnse needs it.

    question

I didn't even know they made a 29er until a few weeks ago. I'm still riding my old stumpjumper . in a nutshell what are the advantages of the larger wheels? thanks, bill and darethea

Whitney Arnold Run it wide. The grass is a safe place.

What are you guys talking about??? Bicycles? I stopped pushing a pedal as soon as my parents bought me something with a motor. LOL Just Kidding! I know it is a great way to stay in shape for those who hate to run. Is a "29er" the wheel size? What happened to the BMX and 20 inch wheels?

flylikechris Wait, how tall are you?

    29ers are AWESOME!
Be careful hitting jumps to land perfectly straight, these big wheels bend much easier than the 26.
