Hey ladies!!! For those of you who I didn't get to meet at the Ladies First Track Day in MI. I would like to introduce Helmet Hed to to community. It is THE EASIEST, Fool proof way of getting your hair up and out of the way and also keeping if form getting tangled and knotted up. :amen: Check it out and I would love to answer any questions you might have.:wheel: www.helmet-hed.com www.facebook.com/helmethed
The EASIEST, fool proof, and most inexpensive solution is to go all Sinead O'Conner!! Sorry showing my age mentioning Sinead. I think Demi Moore (still showing my age),Brittany, and Lady Gaga also temporarily went the same route. Hmmm, perhaps they were dragging knees. On the track, that is. :jester:
I need that shit for my beard - the problem then is that I'd look like either a ridiculous bank robber or a cook at a soup kitchen.
You boys...whatcha doin hangin out on the STT women's page, rippin on Women's product vendors? Silly, silly, misinformed boys. Must be nice to be in a male-dominated sport and pop in here to try to belittle STT sponsors. This is an awesome product...that I swear by (and wouldn't ya'll love to take me to dinner one night with my long hair flowing I stead of a Sinead O'connor shaved dome)...I raced all weekend and this thing saved me. Just sayin. Mn, sometimes I wish I were a dude....oh wait...I struggle with chick issues AND I can still do what the dudes do!
Hmmm...I drag my knees and my feet....on the track...what exactly does your comment have to do with it again? Sorry to be ignorant...I'm just a girl!
No belittling here. Dont forget some guys have long hair too. Just a bit of fun. And the guys are not lurking in the gals forum. The home page lists all the latest post in page in chronological order of last post. Uh huh. Playing all innocent eh?
Thanks BAM BAM for the support!! I know your a HUGE advocate for Helmet Hed and it's awesome to have your feedback. :woot: Ladies..... please don't hesitate to message me or email me with questions or concerns.:lean:
I wasn't kidding about thinking about something like this for my beard. I get off the bike at the end of a session and it's like a red dreadlock.
I'm also a huge fan of the helmet hed!! I've got long fine hair, and it works great. Keeps it from getting the stupid pony tail kinks and also keeps the ends from getting all tangled and broke. Previously anytime i was on the bike, i have a hard time getting a brush thru my hair, it gets so tangled. Wore it at ladies first and have been wearing it ever since. Also have been wearing it on the mountain bike under the helmet. :wheel:
I'm doing it wrong?? I tried to use the Helmet Hed I got at Ladies Day last month on a ride to Bike Night about 3 weeks ago, and 10 minutes into my ride, I felt all this flapping behind me... well, all my hair managed to wriggle out through the stocking end from within my helmet, found its way out of my helmet behind my head, and was flying around as I'm cruising up the tollway. Needless to say, my hair was a DISASTER when I finally got to take my helmet off, all 36" of it. I made sure it was all nestled deep within the netting before I put my helmet on... perhaps my hair is just too long for the Helmet Hed to work properly?
Oh I'm so sorry....but honestly I think it may just be an application issue. I agree that 36 inches is a ton of hair but if put on correctly, there should have been no way for your hair to work it's way out. Just curious if you have been able to see the video on Facebook that I posted to help out with putting it on. This may be a little help, but beyond that I'm super sorry for the rough experience. Next time... when you pull the netting up in the air, try to make sure you are pulling the net in a forward direction. Like you are trying to gently pull it toward you so you can actually see the netting in the air. I'm thinking, from previous experience, that when you pulled it in the air you may have pulled to far in a backward direction. then your hair didn't lay down inside the netting, but actually had a space to squeak out and then work to the freedom on the open air. From people who have had similar experiences, it appears that the need to not only pull the netting high in the air but also in a forward direction is the key. Make sure you give a gentle shimmy and let your hair fall all the way down and then let go of the netting. Let me know if you try it again and if it works better for ya. Thanks a million for the feedback!!! I really appreciate it!!! :wheel:
I'll try it again the next time I do a street ride, just wasn't sure if anyone else with über long hair might have had the same problem. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll pull the netting forward a ton next time.
I think Helmet Head is a nice idea. However, ladies, what works best in helmet hair management is:...... wait for it....... NO HAIR! You are welcome! Problem solved! Bellow photo shows a how to: :lmao::jester:ound:
:thumb: Nice one Heineken!!! But I think our ladies are more interested in keeping their locks then whacking them all off. :mullet:
