Leather sizing confusion

Working on getting my leathers rented for my track day. I've measured myself and have read Alpinestars' size chart. However, I seem to fall into multiple sizes depending on which category I look at. Having never worn leathers before, which areas matter more? I'm 6' 165lbs so tall and narrow.

    Thanks

A size 42 should work for you

With a 42, it should fit my height and arm length but be big everywhere else. Is that a problem? I worry about it being too loose and the pads moving around should I end up using them. Is that not a concern? Do the leathers have adjusters on them to tighten them up in places?

    Thank you for the reply

Mine don't have adjusters, and i cant recall having seen any, but it's not too implausible of an idea.

Also if you get a good back protector and chest protector, that will fill in a good bit of space

Back and chest protector plus armored shorts will fill it out

I would go 44/54 with back protector if you use alpinestars, just because of your height

Be careful renting leathers. The first track day I ever did, I guy in my novice group ordered size 48 leathers, and he got size 38. For example, make sure you are getting 44/54 and not 34/44.
