I noticed that as well when they showed the replay. I thought "ouch! that's gotta hurt!" Didn't seem like he was phased by it, so maybe it didn't actually hit him, but considering how close it was it could've been a lot worse. I agree the winglets should go.

Season looks interesting already, tires will be a huge issue, and I agree this favors Rossi. Lorenzo crashing out is rare event, wondering if tires had anything to do with it? Cal Crashlow is situation normal.
MM lead sthe championship after 2 races and no doubt will probably win COTA. I think that's Rossi's real challenge this year (again)
Ha! COTA will never be cancelled! They will race on freakin Monday/Tuesday before they cancel that race! The next race weekend is 2 weeks later so they can all hang out for a few more days if needed

Damn, you gotta like Vinales in 2017 aboard the Yamaha! Not breaking my heart to see Lorenzo leave Yamaha and I don't think Rossi will mind one bit either. Forza Rossi!!!
Ok, wtf? Rossi is in 2nd place after the start coming into the 2nd or 3rd turn, then all of a sudden he drops back like 4 places? Then he crashes in turn 2. Rossi doesn't crash very often. I guess it was slippery on the track for some reason (Ianone mentioned that after the race). Gotta go see what Rossi had to say. Very disappointed. And man, is Dovi catching some shitty breaks or what?? Oh, and whadday know, Crutchlow crashed..... I guess Rossi burned out his clutch at the start which somehow caused him to get passed after the start, then just lost the front.
Was an interesting race until it got spread out. MM is the King of COTA! It's only race #3 so the season has much to offer still! Poor ole' Dovi! Was nice to see Pedrosa immediately go to him to apologize and make sure he was ok before resuming his ride. Pedrosa is a class act...
How many Moto GP riders have won CotA? Just ONE! Go Marquez! All the riders are saying the front tire is sketchy.
Yea the riders in the post race press conference were definitely saying the Michelin front is not as good as the Bridgestone. Lorenzo complaining most but Marquez and Ionone mentioned all their brake markers from last year changing as well. I guess the compounds have a smaller range of grip and temperature vs the wide range on their old Bridgestones but definitely more grip out of the rear so its lose/win
Not only that, but if I recall, nobody else has won in the US since Marquez moved up to MotoGP in 2013!
