On Sunday, June 10th, at Blackhawk Farms Raceway I was in Novice Group 1 with Don as instructor (my apologies Don, I did not get your last name). From the first session through the last I attended I felt well coached. He had a breakout meeting between every session where he asked what people wanted to work on, what issues they had, and what questions they might have. He was always looking behind him to ensure we were all together and, at appropriate times, slowing up so the group could bunch back up. He worked to provide space for us to run free (Novice was bit clogged up at times on Sunday). He was constantly asking us what questions we had, if we were having any issues, and providing proactive advice on sections of the track. I was very pleased by his service and would gladly join a group led by him again. If Don reads this I just want to say “Thank You” for making it a memorable, safe, and instructive track day. Also Don, I did check out after the 2:40 session as I had been riding for a day and a half and this old man was beat. This was no reflection on you, quite the opposite in fact; I was bummed to not be able to continue but safety is my primary concern and I was beat. I very much appreciated your efforts and look forward to riding in your group in the future should the opportunity present itself. Thank You!

Your comments regarding the coaches and staff of STT are spot on. It's the environment where if you pay attention and break your bad habits, your riding skills will vastly improve session after session.

Thanks for the good feedback. We had a really good group out there on Sunday running at a good pace and it was cool to see people improve during the day. I had a blast and I'm glad you guys had fun too! See you next time!
