Hey all, Just wanted to say Hi and see who is all going to Grattan on sunday? Moved from Kansas City where I normally run with the MCRA crew. This will be my first time at Grattan and I'm excited to get out there and see what the Sportbike Track Time group is all about. Would love to meet some of the veterans while I'm there to get some of your help and opinions of the track, so who's going and what will you be riding so I can stop by and introduce myself??
Welcome to Michigan, Truckkid. Grattan is a blast. Feel free to stop by and say hi. I should be in the upper paddock somewhere. Look for the orange EZ up and a 675R with stock bodywork. Probably parked next to a blue R1. We're riding counter clockwise this weekend, so everything you figure out will probably be different when you come back for our normal clockwise days. Don't worry, either direction it is a very fun and technical track. See you out there! -Paul
Grattan is challenging, as most of the turns are blind, but it's a lot of fun once you figure it out. I like both directions, but prefer CCW as the elevation changes feel more dramatic. I will be pitted in the lower paddock near the "bowl" (turn 6?) with some folks from the Redline Superbike group based out of Detroit. It's a good group of responsible riders if you are on the east side of MI. I'll be driving a dark brown ford flex pulling my 848 on a cheap HF trailer under a light green canopy; feel free to stop by and say hello...
I'll make sure to stop on by and say hi. My only concern is im missing my tire warmers for the track. Hopefullly i'll be able to keep it nice and steady all day out there and have some fun.
Thanks freddy - Im actually out of Royal oak so meeting up with some responsible riders around the area would be awesome. I've got a CBR for the street I'll be in a Blue F-150 probably with a blue canopy. I'll make sure to stop by and say hi! - Jon C

I'll be there for the weekend! I'm camping for the first time at a track day, too! I have a blue and white 636, so come say hi! I'll be in the lower paddock, and it's also my first time CCW at Grattan.
I'll make sure to do that. We can learn the track together And as for this becoming my favorite track, its got a lot to live up to compared to NCM. By far the fastest and funest track I've riden here in the midwest. I'll be going to Road America next month to check that bad boy out because I hear its amazing!!
