Got a question about running an unfaired bike in novice or intermediate.
I've seen plenty of naked bikes on the track, mostly SVs and other older bikes that originally never had more than a headlight or a fly screen. But what about a superbike? Are there any technical prohibitions or other no nos I'd need to be aware of?

I recently purchased a salvage title 899 (whooot!) that had some damage to the upper fairings and stays.
I'm in the process of putting it all back together, but assembling all the parts is going to take awhile and most of them arent necessary for the track anyway.
I have some good side fairings I can reattach, but the headlight/nose fairing is done for.
My main concern would be some of the pointy pieces protruding from the stays. Could be a hazard if I accidentally rammed into someone.
Race plastics, stays and other protection are on the agenda, but I'm itching to get this thing on the track to see what it can do!

Sarcasm? :) It's got 20 more ponies than my 999 had and weighs 40lbs less. Hell yeah.

Fairings only add weight and slow you down anyway.

It is a little loose. Didn't really cause any problems, but probably not ideal to crash in. My d-air suit is not so loose.
