I on purposely followed Verns advice of "do NOT feed the trolls" but now that the gig is up.... I rode the gap, all day long back and forth! I meant to do the whole Devils Triangle but I rode the Tail first and decided that this was the most awesome road I'd ever ridden so I just stayed there all day and also met Dave there for the first time. That ride is what led me to track day riding and while I'm glad I rode it, I have switched to riding track only because of the dangers many have already expressed here.
I have ridden my CBR in almost half the US and there is not a single place on the road that is good to hammer it. I enjoy road riding and want to get back out for some multi-day touring soon though. However I have seen people heli-lifted, also where the ambulance was there with the lights off, and the police taping the area. I have also seen people tore up and waiting for the ambulance (break an arm at the top of the Cherohala and see how long the wait is, then the ride down also. I had a fellow follow me on prescription meds and crash after his rabbit (me) pulled off to admire the view from the top of Independence Pass, broken ribs and other injuries. Talked to the cop guarding his bike on the way back up and he was OK but again it was probably a hour plus wait/trip for him (and had he faded off the other side it would have been game over) I rode 4 corners on the CBR and cannot even imagine the time it would take for help to arrive and that after who knows how long for you to be found/seen if you cannot call (thankfully no crashers there). I have also had people go straight across my lane, in my lane and large furred animals in the road. I enjoy the scenery and a bit of low to moderate cruising through switchbacks but the street ain't a track. Not a I quit street riding type but you have to remember where you are.
Comes to a TD forum to tell TD riders that he is faster on the street. LMFAO. This guy wouldn't make it half a day on the beeb.
The Beeb is.......................................... A secret place that only those that know.......................know!
Nope, threaded metric size rods.......that way you can adjust the length of the stroke to vary your compression ratio....turn your 600 into a monster 1000...........stackable head gaskets not included!
