I am considering purchasing this for track days, and would rather not spend the thousand dollars on a honda genny, considering track days will be about the only thing I'll use it for, and that's only maybe 5 or so a year for me. I have tire warmers, just no generator, also I have some amazon gift cards as well, so I can get this cheaper than that 414.99

It is my understanding that the predator (harbor freight) 2000w generator is just a rebranded one of these, and going off the specs that hf has for it, this seems like a good deal to me.

Does anybody have any experience with generator? it'll be used for one set of tire warmers and like, a cell phone charger.

I picked up a Generac IX2000 at my local Costco last week for $249.99. I was hoping to find a gently used Yamaha/Honda this winter, but Santa couldn't pass up a deal. Hoping for good results.

I have searched this genny a bit, and you can buy them at Home Depot. Reviewers were saying it is built in China, BUT has a Yamaha Engine in it.

its got a ton of reviews and it seems highly rated on any website you look at, i was just hoping someone that uses it for track days would chime in. its a little less powerful than the Honda or even generac generators, with 1600W running watts, but i understand that a set of tire warmers will pull about 1100W so it shouldn't be a concern, i'd think.

i'd really rather not spend a bunch of money on a generator because i don't plan on using it very often. just track days, and not even that many a year. i'd rather spend my money on actually going to track days, so this seems like its a good fit for me. i just cant justify buying the honda one for that reason. spending a thousand dollars to be able to heat up 2 tires and charge a cell phone about 5-10 days a summer doesn't seem very cost effective to me.

Initial cost is higher, but with the Hondas/Yamahas you can get nearly all your money back out of it. Those things hold their value well. That plus the proven reliability record sold me on a Honda.

I also search for a new generator for use at my house. But I am confused which brand is better, which brand gives me the overall advantages such as available parts, service at a reasonable price.

I ended up going with a Westinghouse one. It was on sale and it is 2200 peak watts 1800 running watts. It's also really quiet and fuel efficient. overall I'm happy with it.

For home use, i think it might be a bit small, though.
