I've searched but the best I can find is "camping is available at Grattan". Could anyone who might be in the know advise as to the cost of camping at Grattan? And, if not too much to ask, any advice on where the best place to park/camp might be? I will be pulling a cargo trailer and camping out of it. I have electrical hookups so, if power were available that would be nice, but I am not counting on it (I have Yamaha generators... the quiet kind :) I am headed to Grattan for the first time for the July 4th weekend.

No extra for camping just the gate fee, can't remember exactly. somewhere around 10/day per person i think. Lower paddock might be your best bet. Lower is grass. Upper is paved. No electric except the garages far as I know.

Camping is free other than the gate fee not sure what the gate fee will be with being a long weekend. Bring cash for the gate fee and ice, consessions or fuel if you want to buy it on site. Bathrooms are pretty nice with private showers.
No power except garages and you can't get a trailer close enough to plug in and camp.

If it helps any, when I arrive on a Friday to camp through Sunday evening, I believe they charge me $15 at the gate.

As R/T stated. When you pull into the track you go right up the small hill thats the garages, tech insp, registration. Also, all paved parking and pits/camping. Continue straight there a couple of paved roads to the right with a field of grass between them. People set their bikes EZ ups on the paved and camp/tent on the grass. Bathrooms are up top as well under what looks like a house. I cant stress enough people camp/tent/trailers/sleeping bags/vehicles on the grasss.

Some enjoy parking their entire setups on the middle of the pavement middle ways down. It will all make sense you you arrive

Thank you for the information. My camper has a canopy built into its side so would not have a pop-up. My biggest concern is that I am new to trailer ownership and as such I sweat the worry of pulling into an area from which I can't readily retreat. It sounds to me as if the lower paddock might be best for me although sounds like all the cool things and people are in the upper paddock! (jk) But what I need most is, ideally, to pull into a space in which I can pull forward when ready to leave (I am arriving Friday evening and leaving out on Monday evening. So, I am likely to get there before many and leave after most). Backing up in my trailer is (in the words of my daughter) 'not my favorite thing' :)

The lower as plenty of turn around room. You wont have to go down those little pit roads. When you pull in you can basically park on the left and right sides. pull thru grass and turn facing out. Google satellite map it also. Basically if theres grass and you fit its yours.

Lower paddock is much Easier to loop and park. It's not miles to walk from upper to lower to hang out.
