Gates open Friday approx at 5:00pm and close at 9:00pm EDT. They Re-open Sat 7am-9pm, Sun 7am-5pm EDT. CMP is in the Eastern time zone.

Sportbike Track Time is not charging a gate fee at this track, however the track typically charges a gate fee for spectators. You will not have to pay a gate fee (as long as you are pre-registered), your friends or spectators will have to. Sorry, that's just the way they do it there.

Camping is allowed and electric is available, you pay the track for that.

Garages are available but not free, you must pay the track for them, they limit it to four customers per garage, so don't try to jam 12 bikes into one space.

Sign-up opens 7am both days and closes at 10:30am for the day. Please be on time.

Tech opens 7am and closes 10:30am

Mandatory riders meeting 8:20am both days, Intermediate riders are first on track at 9am.

Please note some NEW tech rules regarding GoPro (or similar) cameras:

    - all Gopros mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle.

    - helmet mounted Gopros are not allowed at all on track

    - in our novice group, Gopros are not allowed on track in the morning sessions - in the afternoon sessions they are fine as long as the above rules are followed.

Pets are allowed at CMP but must be on a leash at all times, please pick up after them.

Concession stand open for breakfast and lunch if you want to buy it there. No fast food close by.

    Showers are available at CMP.

Race gas available at the track, there is a small Jiffy store in front of the track.

We ride r**n or shine, be prepared for Southern r**n showers.

Sportbike Tire Service will be there for tire service all weekend long with our usual awesome prices on Michelin tires!!!!

Unfortunately, no suspension service will be available.

Any questions please post up here.

Does anyone know the cost for camping?

I called them last week and asked that question. Camping ( no electric) is $15/day. Camping with power (30 amp....no 50 amp drops available) $25/day. First come, first served, no reservations accepted and of course, you pay the track for that. So it goes without saying, if you have a camper with a 50 service, be sure and bring the dogbone 50/30 amp adapter.

Does that rate only adhere to campers/rv's? I really don't need a 30amp outlet for my tent. hahahah

I didn't ask specifically about tent camping, but the impression that I got is that "camping" is $15/day....whether you're in a tent or the Taj Mahal......OK, maybe a little more for that! :D

Thanks Marc........hard to believe, but it's my first time ever at CMP! It's always been "too far away" because I usually have to work on Monday after the weekend.....and I get up at 3:30AM for work, which doesn't allow for much sleep time when I get home on Sunday evening. I'm off on Monday and Tuesday this year though, so we thought we would try it out. Stay safe and take care.

    Vern,

Thanks for the help with turns 5 - 7 and 12 -13! Helped out a lot getting through those sections. I hope you made that long exciting journey back to Tennessee with most haste! Looking forward to the next track day.
