I appreciate the offer, but Sunday mornings are all usually booked for me. And yes, everyone has been great with advice and super helpful. I'm shocked by how welcoming this community is even before I've actually done one. Thanks all.
The ride share part of this forum is super handy! I met some people that became really good friends through just asking for a ride there. Now 5 years later I'm still doing track days and hanging out with them.
As it turns out, everyone here was right. The fretting and uncertainty quickly turned into a great day. Grattan was a tough track (particularly when it was wet in the morning), but fun and certainly not boring. I was slow, but never felt rushed, and the two instructors were really helpful and patient. Since it wasn't an STT day, it lacked a bit of structure, but I learned a lot and met some great people. I'm looking forward to getting back on the track and doing some days with STT. Thanks all for the advice and encouragement!
Was Great Meeting you Matt can't wait for you to join us for a full STT day. you have good lines already.
STT is the perfect organization for new riders. I feel like the beginner group at other track day organizations is more free flowing and the riders are significantly faster.
