Hi everybody, I'm about 20 min from ACC, but haven't been on a track yet - hoping to meet some of you this summer. Currently riding an SV650S (2006). Would any of you recommend spectating a track day to start? I'm a little nervous about tech inspection, etc.

Yeah, come on out! Its a great wsy to learn and see how it all works. Most of the time stt even allows you to sit in on the novice classroom sessions, but confirm that with stt staff.

If you need some shade, a chair, or some questions answered come find me. My name is Corey, ill have a blue 07 gsxr600 with yellow plates #24. Ill have a silver gmc pickup with a black trailer. White pop up canopy.

    Oh, and welcome!

    Welcome!

If you can make it to Road America on June 28th I have a friend who will also be doing his first track day on a SV.

Welcome to the forum and the addiction.

If you can make it to Road American on June 4th have three of us playing in novice.
Here is the tech list. Basically for novice you need to have painters tape to cover over ALL glass and several layers so your brake light can not be seen. Biggest thing is good tread on tires. if your close to wear bars then you really want new tires.
Gear, two piece suit with more than half zipper (not the 4 inch across back) Full gloves over wrists and boots over ankles, full face helmet NOT modular. (you can rent leathers)

Once you do a track day you will see in hindsight that it wasn't all that.
It's the not knowing that makes one nervous. Everyone especially the coaches just want you to have fun, be safe and learn.
Pretty sure if you join STT and can not run for mechanical issues you get a partial refund at least.
BUT if there is something that can be taken care of, promise someone will do anything they can to get you to run.

One piece track suits for women are readily available to rent? Are there enough sizes to try on a few?

I don't know that information directly. Would say call Crystal and ask whom to contact on rental.
If your not sure on sizing, would suggest finding a Cycle Gear or another store to try some on to get general sizing.
Have found difference between companies using the EU sizing. (just like american companies. Not all 32's fit the same)
