Who has used what? Pros and cons, pricing, and make model. As to why im looking into this I was put into a position on 9/10/16 that in my inexperiance put my bike and I off the track :(o_O. Almost the entire right side was destroyed as far as the body goes. Frame is ok thanks to my sliders :D. Any way im in the market for some body work and am wondering whats out there and if its any good.

You will probably be hard pressed to find new bodywork to fit a bike that old. In response to your question, generally SharkSkinz and Armourbodies are 2 of the better ones.

ahh you were the one with the f2, I was sad to see that you crashed but Sh** happens. Had an f3 myself, and yes, finding bodywork, for a reasonable price, is tricky. try ebay, every now and again something will pop up. Or get f4i bodywork and make it fit.

Yes sh** happens and to be honest I was more bummed about missing track time than I was mad. Though passing on 6b or any corner for that matter in N. at 50 ish is TOTAL BS!!! Especially when passing on the straights only and with room was the "rule". Thanks for the info and honestly its between running it naked for now or getting the "Smokin' Joe's" kit from airtech for 7 ish sipped. All for next season that is.

I searched and am reviving this thread. Cheap suggestions please (cheaper than armourbodies and sharkskinz). Thank you.

Hotbodies & Sebimoto are cheaper than Armourbodies and Sharkskins. I have Sebimoto on my SV. Its pretty flexible, but have found a couple cracks near the fairing mounts which I reinforced the area.

A review of my experience with optimal racing. I purchased a tail section for my 09' R6. The quality is pretty good and I feel like the material is every bit as thick as an armorbodies tail section but.............it was to small. When I went to mount the piece I had to stretch/flex the tail section quite a bit to get it on the bike which in turn caused there to not be enough overlap between the tail and undertail to allow for mounting hardware. I explained this to the guys at optimal racing and they said they would be happy take it back if I paid shipping. I chose not to do that but instead went down to autozone and bought a fiberglass repair kit complete with mesh material and added about an 1" to either side of the undertail to allow enough overlap for mounting hardware. Their bodywork costs significantly less than a lot of other brands so I felt it was worth my time to work with what I had rather than send it back and order an armorbodies tail.
