So after my minor issue requiring duct tape and zip ties on sat July 2 at Grattan  , I have been kickin myself in the arse for not ponying up and buying a dedicated track bike before the season began. (Thanks for Christi and Mike for helping me get back on the track)

So, I finally pulled the trigger and snatched up an 07 ZX6 Woot!!!! I am so totally geeked. I've got a little work to do on it, but will hopefully be able to make some Gingerman and Grattan dates later this year.

I think I'm addicted. Christi, whens the next Ladies Only!!

That is a very smart move. In the end you'll find it costs LESS having a dedicated track bike. On little off road excursion on a full oem plastic bike costs thousands and that would only be cosmetic damage.

Besides that what is cooler than a chic with her own track bike!

    Welcome aboard!

    Congrats!!

I don't have a dedicated track bike, but my bike transfers over from street to the track in about an hour or less. Track plastics, then 2 bolts and the entire front nose and fairing stay falls off... new stay goes on, unplug the stock street harness and my extra gets plugged in! I've only done it one time so far this season, but with more practice it will take me no time :)

I knew you were on the fence and glad we were able to push you over the edge, so to speak :). Now, you ARE addicted.
No need to wait for the next Ladies Only - you're ready to go show the boyz really how to ride!
Looking forward to seeing you back at the track.

I would suggest you do at least 1 day in Novice on the new bike (to learn the bike) then consider moving to "I".

The last session on the "Ladies Only" day you keep pace with a "I" rider. I followed the both of you that session and you did fine.

Thanks guys for the support. I for sure will do at least one day in novice since I won't be riding this bike on the street. It'll probably be labor day before I can get out there and play again, but I'm for sure lookin forward to it.

I'm keeping the 636 for the street. I'm patiently waiting for the new plastics to come in.
