IMO... the areo hump is simply a style issue. No one here or in any other part of our forum is fast enough to benifit from an aero hump. Large aero humps can actually cause injury in certain crash evolutions. At 175MPH with a rider in perfect tuck (that's ass up off the seat and head down, elbows in perfectly) it might make a .02% difference in Drag Coefficient. Over 30 laps that could be a second or a bit more. I have ridden for 15 years with out a hump. I put one of my superfly kangaroo custom suit (it's a small one) and really could care less about it. It was free so WTH I thought. I certainly wouldn't pay extra for one. With that said, some of them do look cool and some look silly. We will happily exchange suits for size! Thanks, Monte and Bonnie
Don't Aero Humps also protect your head from snapping back in a crash?? That's what I was told, but maybe I was misinformed............. :?: Thanks for the info, I am not going to sweat not having one since I assumed it was for protection (yeah, I know, it's called an Aero Hump.....Aero=air)
If they fit properly Jane they will. But that hump has to be pretty big and bulky to do that as well as fit exactly right. Pretty much custom. The original purpose was areodynamics.
I LOVE my Femmoto suit. 5'7, 145 A club, fits like a glove (probably room for the b or c clubbers-like I would know)..spent a week in it on a road trip. Couldn't have been more comfortable! The lizard patch had to go though.
