To the folks that run VP racing fuel often – have you had any problems with your fuel pump being eaten alive?

My understanding is the fuel is supposed to be drained and flushed and not left in the fuel system for long periods of time.

During a trackday weekend, I usually bring a pail of U4.4 and run it thru mostly on Saturday, then finish Sunday with my own blend of 100 octane leaded fuel (I have two fuel maps).

I have no real experience with this stuff – but it just smells wonderful and also like it would eat thru hardened steel at the same time!

I wonder if I need to have a spare fuel pump and/or fuel injectors with me?
