im actually surprised i dont see any chatter in here about it. New York Safety Track is planning on opening the doors next season (may?). its just west of Albany and with the couple of videos ive seen it looks like its going to be a very technical track. i was wary at first with all the typical red tape involved in these projects but things moved quickly this summer and there is already the first coat of asphalt circulating the track. will STT be running days there next year? i had a blast instructing/control riding with STT at MMC and would love to "get the band back together":thumb: web site-- http://www.nysafetytrack.com/ facespacetubenet-- http://www.facebook.com/NYSafetyTrack
I'm with OX....considering that the community lost Monticello, I'd have expected the Northeast clown posse' to be all over this...!?!?\ I'd be availailable to work the Novice program again...!
Dave i just heard that PoconO is redoing there road courses, should be done by end of nov. the south and east courses are all new, 45 feet wide, new curbing meeting fia and ama standards. north course being repaved and new curbing also. With these two tracks would be nice to get the gang back...
The new Pocono configurations. All the pavement issues are fixed and new curbing has been added along with numerous configurations.
Rumor has it that for Pocono is the area for the paddock won't be the typical gravel pit as before. It wonderful for the lowers and for destroying front fenders. For those who never had this wonderful experience, this wasn't compacted gravel and not small rocks. This was a bit bigger stones that would get jammed in between the tire and fender and make a wonderful sound and at times bust the fender mounts from the jamming force.
