I'm a pretty tiny gal and my bike suspension is stock except for the sag, preload, etc settings which have been set for me. I've had a few suspension guys tell me that I need to have lighter springs on my bike.

My question for the other ladies is: if you've had the suspension springs redone for you, did you notice a huge difference in your bike and did you find your riding improved?

    Thanks!

I don't mind hearing from anyone! I just figured since I'm a lady, other ladies' thoughts would be handy.

rchase nailed it. A tiny girl on too heavy a set of springs is essentially riding a bike that has no suspension. By springing the bike to your weight, you'll get better handling on and off the track. This may include a lower seat height and a more comfortable ride. (That is, assuming that your weight is not enough to properly compress the stock springs.)

Yes and YES!:thumb: I rode and raced on stock suspension from 2008-2010 and bought an Ohlins shock from Eric Knight in 2010. He had all the springs there in the trailer and put the correct one on for me. :woot:
I didnt get my forks done until 2011 or 2012. Because of my height and weight (5'7/135), Eric Knight left the stock fork springs (if I recall right) but changed everything else. Has been working great for me.

Do you have or plan on getting your forks done?
