Do you mean the part about Wal-Mart nearly single-handedly destroying independent retail in America? I don't know, did you?
Smart wool and get the light weight ones. A bit harder to find as everyone has the heavy keep your feet warm ones (even in Alabama :lmao but they are great.
I'm aware of the concern. Seemed like it was more directed at the thread rather than a commentary on society. Hence the confusion.
I wear a short ankle sock made from some type of moisture wicking (sp) material. Psycle Skinz under the leathers, or under armor whatever twirls your beanie.
Coolmax Motorcycle Socks from MOTO-D, so comfortable and cooling. The sole of the sock is lined with a dotted traction grip which grips the inside boot, great feel while pivoting on the bike. www.motodracing.com
I just bought a couple pair of soccer socks from mejier (northern walmart). They work pretty well change them at lunch when I un suit for the hour
2 page thread on socks, may as well comment... I like using tall, thin hiking socks. In a pinch I find that dress socks work well too. I don't have ultra sweaty feet though.
I started wearing Under Armour long socks this year, really like 'em a lot. There's an UA outlet store nearby where I live, so I picked up several pairs at $8-10 a pair. Worth it IMO.
Old man socks and garters. Seriously, two pages about socks? What about under wear? Can I get an Amen for dry junk?
cycle gear has race socks on sale 3 pairs of racing socks for 9 bucks, i bought a set, now i have 3 pairs of racing socks, 1 pair of smart wool socks, and when the wife is not looking i use her smart wool socks, which are a little tight and stretch them out.
I pretty much make a last minute run to wally world when I realize that I do not have enough clean socks. :rawk:
I get the Adidas soccer socks from Dicks. They are thin, have good air flow, have some compression to them and they are long. I hate it when my socks bunch up around my toes, and i hate it when they aren't tall enough to come past the top of my boots. The soccer socks work good. I don't like socks that are cotton and real thick. I feel like they reduce my feel through the pegs.
