Just signed up for the Barber event June 3,4. It is my second time riding with STT and my first time at Barber. I'm pretty excited to finally be checking this track off my bucket list. I have a few questions regarding the paddock area and setup. - Is there anywhere in the paddock that supplies water? I like to use large buckets of water as weights for my canopies. I've read through the various threads and I know that they don't have water or sewer hookups for camping, but it is not clear if that includes a small water outlet or water hose we can briefly use. - I'm planning on buying electricity. Is the power first come first-serve or are their assigned spaces for everybody who buys power? Are there usually enough power spaces for everybody who wants it? - How packed is the paddock for STT events at Barber? I understand that most Barber events are sold out, so does that mean that all 4 levels of the paddock will be packed solid? - I'm planning on arriving early Friday afternoon so my wife and I can tour the museum. Will there be track personnel there to direct me as to where to park my truck+trailer? - My first STT event was a few years ago at Road Atlanta. Despite reading the track day regulations page the process was a bit confusing. I could use a few refreshers. Do I need to register and sign the disclaimers prior to tech'ing myself and my bike? What exactly do I need to bring to tech? Just my helmet and bike? Just the bike? All my gear and bike? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide! Looking forward to riding with you all again!

First come First Serve If you roll in Friday you shouldn't have a problem.. - How packed is the paddock for STT events at Barber? Usually 3 Levels full... - I'm planning on arriving early Friday afternoon so my wife and I can tour the museum. Will there be track personnel there to direct me as to where to park my truck+trailer? Yes someone will be there to show you where to park... Usually the lot across the Main entrance of the Museum.. Staff is up on top of Hill . - My first STT event was a few years ago at Road Atlanta. One other bit of advice, if you are going to tour the museum...you mentioned arriving Friday afternoon.....you may want to rethink that. It is HUGE and spending 3 or 4 hours in there probably won't be enough. I'm serious....It Is H U G E!
What he said.. I'm arriving Thursday night, Museum all day Friday, track Saturday. Leave on Sunday. I did just the museum with the wife, about 4 hours while I rushed from bike to bike taking pictures, this time taking down my track mate and he won't be in the rush my wife was. I figure 6 hours for a nice soak it in experience.
This is some, but NOT all of it. They also rotate the bikes on display, have about half out one of the employees told me. http://s786.photobucket.com/user/tiger1050forum/slideshow/Barber Motorsports park Spoiler alert, pictures of Barber.
Yes, it's yuge, very very yuge. I guarantees, you'll luv it. Those pictures don't do it justice. Hope the track is half as nice.
What's the cost for power? Bringing an RV, so I don't know if the cost is the same as if I was using 110 or more? I know tally charges more for RV power per day...
Just thought of another question... - My wife will be coming with me, and she might want somewhere to sit and work while at the track. For example Road Atlanta unlocks the scoring tower during trackdays. She can work there in relative peace. Is there anywhere like that in the Barber paddock? Thanks again everybody for taking the time to answer my many questions!
Really? Just for power? Holy crap. For some reason I thought it was closer to $25/day. I dunno where I read that... I might be imagining things. I might re-think my plan and just bring a generator...
