Jennings gp is one of my fav tracks.. we rent it out every spring to break some winter blues... we even let the gate lady have to day off because she's super nice and deserves it..
Thinking about it! I to want to reduce the off season. This would be a long road trip but I may be able to visit one of our plants down there and reduce the travel costs!
so now to buy track days we need a membership? tryin to buy jennings and its sayin requires a membership, already gunna cost me an arm and a leg to do this trip and they want another $55 for a membership for what reason? this is absurd, mcra does this same BS but theirs is only $10, this is why my friends cant justify spending all this money on this sport, its one curveball after the other, it looks like me and my 2 buddies are out, have fun to all who are goin
Well, the price still drops when I log in. Not sure about what you're experiencing. Maybe it's part of the limited attendance part of that particular event?
talked to crystal, the bundle proce is for members and non bundle for nonmembers, makes sense, i coulda swore ive purchased bundle from stt before, o well im glad it isnt as i thought, ill be signing up today, does anyone know where the decibal reader is at there? at NCM they now enforce a strict 103 limit and my bike screamed a 106 past the mic lol so i had to short shift past it the rest of the day, will have to do same at jenGP
They are very strict about the decibel rule and you will not be riding @ 106. You need to find a way to silence your bike, short shifting past the mic won't work.
They place it at start finish and use it all day.. they have swapped now and then to the back straight as well.. DB limit is 104 at jennings
When I was there in January and February this year they said at the riders meeting that if your bike is loud they target you for testing. They keep an ear out for loud bikes because they have had problems with their neighbors so they are pretty strict about it. Just giving you the heads up since I've personally witnessed riders being told they can't ride because their bikes are too loud.
I am seeking a coach to work with in "A" or "I"... I would like some feedback and a pull and follow session. Maybe even run my GoPro a little and review the film with me?
Be warned about the noise limit - they will not tolerate anything over 104. Also watch out for the track mascot in turn 11. Saw him out sunning himself last Saturday.
If your up for fun, Jason was talking about Jennings in February. Would be great to hook up with a group. May have a place to stay in Valdosta Ga, heard it's not to far away. Jason is doing a tour in the middle east. Might have a issue with the noise limit. Have no idea what mine is. How do they measure it, distance etc.
They use the A weighted scale, and set the meter up about 10 feet from the edge of the track. Front or back straight. Any bike with a shorty muffler (unless you still have the cat) is probably going to fail. If you think it's too loud, it probably is. They have enough grief with the neighbours, don't make it difficult for them.
We found a Db meter as an Android App, used it before Andrew went down for Ed Bargy's school, don't know how accurate it was but we had no problems at the track. Might be worth checking out.
