'02 models. These are 1.5 (lol) GREAT turnkey trackday/club racing bikes - I did 13 trackdays last year and, with minimal maintenance and changing the oil with Motul or Amsoil every other trackday I just would show up and ride. NO BREAKDOWNS or trackside repairs EVER.
If you have done any N2 or STT at Barber or Tally you have likely seen me no the active, blue bike. It runs very strong and handles as good as better than a lot of new tackle - particularly quick and stable in, out, and around corners. I get the feeling this old fat guy on an old bike annoys people when they get passed lol.
I bought the active race bike last year after my other '02 Double-sided Swingarm (the fastest and lightest of these bikes) shat a conrod - after, of course, I had spent a fortune on suspension, race bodywork, etc. So I bought this bike last Jan with no clear idea how long I would use it. So I have 2 nearly identical 2002 Daytona 955i DSSAs. I love the active blue bike and do get compliments on it all time. However - on good days - I am knocking on advanced times and just feel the need to upgrade (although I'll keep it and keep riding it rather than part out because I mechanically inept - you do not want me parting these bikes out!) Both bikes have pretty significant upgrades. :
    THE GOOD:
    - Both bikes are NOT maintained by me but by successful ex-WERA racer James Stroud at AllPro Powersports in Huntsville, AL. He can vouch for the bike. Anything that ever needed done aside from oil changes was done by him.
-Blue bike had about 2000mi before it was turned into a pure racebike some years ago. I was told by previous owner/racer (Rob at D&D cycles in Pensacola, FL) that it won Sound of Thunder and Heavyweight Superbike races. Yellow bike has about 18Kmi.
    - Blue bike has Ohlins steering damper
    - Blue bike has BomBay Cycles Competition Quick Turn Throttle Tube. Yellow bike has Rizoma bars with integrated quick turn tube.
    - Blue bike has metallic and clearcoated (thinly) painted Sharkskins bodywork (see pics - I have tried to show wear spots) in decent shape for a 13 year old race bike. No cracks, no repairs needed. Painted on numberboards with removable vinyl lettering (see how clever I was with the "955?"). It has minor nicks and scratches but has NEVER been down.
    - Yellow bike has has flat-ish unclearcoated paint also with nicks and scratches and very minor crack on left side seat hump from kicking it as I get on lol (see pics but it's in the trailer). It was low-sided once by me at Barber Museum corner but the frame slider took all of the 45mph spill.
-I have probably $2500 in both bikes superb suspension upgrades alone:
    - Blue bike has rebuilt forks with Racetech fork springs and cartridges, tuned for 210lb rider - and it handles incredibly well. I set it up it a little front endy.
    - The backup bike has rebuilt by GMD Computrack in Atlanta new Racetech fork cartridges and Ohlins springs. Again, tuned to 210lbs rider and a bit biased toward the front.
    - Active blue bike has Penske racing fully adjustable shock (once I got it set to my liking I haven't messed with it) - also from GMD Computrack.
    - Yellow spares bike has newer Wilbers 3-way adjustable race shock with 9 trackdays on it setup by James Stroud. If I keep it I might swap shocks this Spring just to gauge the difference and get the Penske re-valved (although I do not think it needs it)
    - Blue bike has MUCH lighter-than-stock custom aluminum subframe - stiff and light. I have not weighed the bike but expect it to be 40-50lbs lighter than the streetbike with all the unnecessary street stuff removed and the custom minimalist (but strong - no flexing) subframe. I still have at least one stock subframe in spares. Blue motor runs very strong and, before I bought it, had a Tuneboy tune.
    - Stock seat in lkike new condition (also have another stock seat in good condition)
    - Gearing, I think, is 18/46 on one season old (13 trackdays) top-of-line (I always buy the best for my bikes) DID Gold 520 conversion ERV3 series X'ring Race Chain. It has A LOT of life in it. Its kinda amazing but it needed ONE little adjustment in late summer and is wearing unbelievably well - along with steel sprocket.
    - It has 3 trackdays on front pads (EBC Extreme Performance Brake Pads EPFA145HH - same as '06 GSXR1000 - these are classified as full race pads. Lots of miles left.
    - Newish (4 or 5 trackdays) Front Brake Master Cylinder and Stainless Steel Brake Line Upgrade Kit from John King at Skyking products (custom ordered from Japan)
    - I tried aftermarket shorty and full length levers and reverted back to stock as there was too much lever with any master cylinder on aftermarket levers. I do aslo have a pair opf black ASV shorties in the box of sapare parts.
    - Stock rear pads with 70% use left. Brakes are SUPERB. No fade, no weirdness, no lockups.
    - Tiny, superlight, Shorai snowmobile battery in very secure custom tray. Nothing but starter, idiot lights, and cooling fans run off it.
    - No name framesliders on blue bike in undamaged condition. Framesliders on yellow bike have significant wear on right slider.
    - Blue bike has aftermarket low clipons
    - No kickstand or kickstand sensor assembly on blue; yellow has the assembly but no stand.
    - Blue bike completely safety-wired to WERA rules.
    - Carbon front mudguard (also have blue stock item)
    - Blue bike has carbon TwoBros medium length pipe in good condition. Fairly loud but no trackday noise issues. Also have spare steel Two Brothers pipe. I might even have a stock pipe laying around in the garage somewhere.
    - UK-based RGM Triumph quick-relase seat conversion with stock seat. Without it seat is a royal pain to remove.
    - LighTech keyless aluminum Full Spin Gas Cap
    - R&G blue vinyl (new - 1 trackday) lever guards on both sides
    - MRA Double Bubble screen, clean and no scratches
    - No hugger, no chain guard on either bike. Blue bike has Woodcraft black Sharkfin Toe Guard Kit.
    - Everything left on the yellow bike is spares in good condition
    - Blue bike has Eazi-grip tank pads (a little worn on right side). Yellow bike has Stompgrips in good condition
    - Blue bike has R&G racing spools on rod through rear axle (no mounts for swingarm bobbins on swingarm). Grommets are a little worn.
    - I also have the yellow tank in great condition as well as all the bodywork mentioned above; I probably some other stuff I am forgetting that'll go with the bikes.
    THE BAD:
    - Active blue Bike does start slow, especially when cold but starter will pick up and start every time.
    - The blue bike sat for a while before I bought it last Jan to replace the yellow bike (was cheaper than a rebuilt motor). So we chased various gasket leaks this Spring and Summer. Unfortunately, there is still a leak somewhere near the sump (but sump gasket was not only replaced by James but we have a double gasket there) - it leaks about 2 tablespoons of oil every trackday but never gets close to leaving the bellypan and has never not passed tech inspection. I have given up trying to find and repair the leak - "perfect is the enemy of good enough.".
    - Bellypan (on both bikes) does touch down just ever so slightly on right full lean turns, at least with my fat ass on it, and has been repaired. In an effort to make it a little more narrow we added a custom side bolt (see pics) to blue bike to hold it in tighter. It helped but did not solved the problem.
    - Blue bike needs new swingarm chainguard

Am thinking $4500 OBO FOR EVERYTHING.
Local pickup only in Huntsville, AL USA.
    PM if interested.
NO RIDES NO WARRANTY IMPLIED OR GIVEN, ALL SALES FINAL.
Both bikes will have bill-of-sale ONLY.
CASH or Paypal and you take care of shipping.

BUMP price reduced the $3k. this is a great set-up for trackdays without a lot of outlay.
