08 GSXR 600 track bike. Will come with a bill of sale only.
VIN plate and numbers are on the frame and in tact.

3500 miles. Bike has only been to the track twice.
    Vortex clip-ons
    Vortex keyless gas cap
    520 chain/sprocket
    Galfer SBK lines
    Yoshimura slipon
    Yoshimura case savers
    Brand New Hotbodies windscreen
    07 header
    07 wheels/rotors
    07 frame

Bodywork is in very good condition except for an issue with the lower. The previous owner decided that he had to cut some of the bellypan out to fit around whatever exhaust he was using. It can definitely be glassed in relatively easily or use as is.

This is a very clean and unmolested bike.

    Located in Cincinnati area.

    $3400

    Edit: bike has 3500 miles.

So what makes the bike be classified as an 08?

You might just want to be clear :thumb:

    Last I knew a bike was classified based upon its frame. If I have a 2005 R6 and put a 2008 R6 engine in it, I don't call it a 2008 R6.

    Interesting.

What would you call an 08 gsxr 600 frame with an 08 gsxr 750 motor in it?
Would it still be a 600? Would you tell people that you beat them in a race on your 08 600 even though it had a 750 motor?

Also, 06-10 gsxr 600/750 frames are practically identical except for the rectifier mounting holes.

This bike had 08 rims until sunday when i sold an 08 750 and i put those rims on it.

And theres no performance advantage or value in an 07 vs 08 frame. But you could argue that there are performance/advantages in an '08 motor, electronics and the look of the '08 is more desirable. This bike is 90% '08.

I must confess, back in ' 94 when i started racing...i put an 1100 motor in my ' 92 gsxr 750 and raced it in the 750 classes. You werent allowed to race over 750cc as a novice back in the day.
Im pretty sure that bike would not have been classed as a 750 if they knew that big motor was in there, even though the frame showed 750.

In short, TLR67 is correct. Lol

I just paid $2200 for an 07 GSXR750. I know it is an 07 because that's what it says on the TITLE.

Nope. The "Bill of sale only" thing throws me off.

That was the buy it now price on Crashedtoys.com. I tried to get it for less but another bidder was hot for the bike, matching me $C for $C. At $1900 I just went all in and hit the buy button.

Copart bought crashedtoys about a year ago...I've been on auction sites for awhile now. The salvage market has gone through the roof with prices the past few years.

It's hard to find a decent bike with minimal damage at a good price.

There's an 07 750 locally for $1400, but about the only thing that might be good on it is the motor and rear sprocket.
