**Uploaded Pictures after crash on 2nd page, not bad at all!** Hi Guys, Crashed my bike at Grattan last weekend. Needs new plastics and gas tank is dented. Would be an easy fix up. Or.... wheres a good place to pick up either race bodywork or normal fairings to repair it? Would like to sell as is or will fix it up. Asking $3499 *price just lowered!* Location: Grand Blanc, MI *Suspension recently setup in Grattan *New Michelin Power 3 tires Front and Rear (Less than 400 street miles and 1 novice track day) *Has Ohlins steering stabilizer *Fresh synthetic oil change for this season Thank you, *Picture is before the crash, text me and I will send you current pictures now that I am healed up and can get down the stairs.. Needs new front/right side plastics, headlight, front brake fluid reservoir plastic cap, passenger side brake bracket. Other than that bike is in a great shape, runs great, shifts great, very low miles almost new!
I was accident number 4 lol. Right before the bus stop, no idea what happened, I was taking it easy. Need to understand what causes a high side, no idea how it happened. Sorry guys, I will edit the main post with more information.
The only reason for a high-side is if the rear tire loses traction and steps out sideways. This can be caused by getting on the gas too hard/early, but it sounds like you were braking. If you were using your rear brake coming into the bus stop, and/or made an abrupt downshift (although I think the 2010 ZX6 has a slipper clutch), this might have been the cause. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope to see you back out there at some point. In the meantime, GLWS...
I wasn't braking but I could have been on the gas little early. Was in 3rd gear through that corner trying to keep it smooth as it was the 2nd to last session, 2nd lap. Suddenly bike violently stood upright started shaking and I remember pretending to be superman over the handlebars, except without the invincibility part lol.
Clear title ? If you ride street did you check with your insurance company? This is the bike I would like for track but don't have much extra coin right now
If you are looking to put it back on the street, I have all the street trimmings from my 2010 ZX-6R that I took off for the track. I have been lazy about putting it up for sale.
Race bodywork can be had at STG for anywhere between $499.95 and a little over $1000 for the top of the line Sharkskinz. Shoot me a call and we will see what that bike needs to become a track beast!
Still up for sale if more are interested. Bike is actually in much better shape than I thought now that I can walk down the stairs again =)
