I really enjoyed North CCW more then CW but the 66 will have the long back strait.

lets see if wee run the chicane or not on the 66.

Monte was out last year during the full Monti as a spectator only lets see if he comes out and rides this year. :D

Here are the ones I've ridden. I couldn't determine the "66" layout from the description that "link" provided and I haven't ridden that one yet so maybe someone can map it for us?

    South - http://home.ptd.net/~nafter/mmcsouth.jpg
    North (CCW) - http://home.ptd.net/~nafter/mmcnorth.jpg
    Full - http://home.ptd.net/~nafter/fullmonti.jpg

OK great....take a look at the full monti map.

when you get on the front strait of the south course you make the right after the access road , its a 180 degree turn onto the left hand uphill carousel turn then you go around the heliport onto the back strait.

adding part of south to the north corse makes it the 66, why 66 I dont know but its going to be fun.

link - I mapped out the 66 according to your description, look good? In this layout, do they use the chicane towards the end of the back straight on North to slow people down? I forgot to show this in the "fullmonti" map.

Thats the 66...thanks for posting that map.

I was told by david that some of the dates listed as north could be run on the 66 and possibly full. I think they are working on this and other things for next season. Im going to wait a little bit before I bug him on this.

About the chicane, how did you like it? I thought it was pretty cool but I think it will only be used when we are using the whole back straight since the speeds are high.

Naferclifen, have you mapquested Monticello? If you are in the Pocono region you are only 1-2 hours away. Great track combos!

Jim - Monticello is only 1:30 North of me, I love the track (except for the no-grilling rule)! I was there 3 days last year with STT (North, South, and Full). I can't remember when, but I do remember seeing you. Your bike is dark green and you were riding Advanced, right? Here I am at Monticello...

Honestly, I didn't care for it and I was hoping to run the whole straight. I understand why Dave did it though, he has to look out for the safety of all riders. From talking to some of the riders that day, some liked it and some did not.

    I did Monti N & S & full & ccw N.........

After doing the north clock wise doing it counter clock wise thru me off, I didn't like it. I loved the Full Monti but I would like to try it without that chicane in the middle of that back straight!!! Yes I want to top my bike out in 6th gear, LOL. That straight away is kinda curved not truely straight anyway.

Yes I would like more Full Monti too. I see TPM has MMC 66 on their schedule, I assumed that meant the full monti but I learned here that it is NOT.

That 66 looks awesome, I would guess it is maybe 3 miles since the full monti is 3.5 miles? Which way would they run it cw or ccw?

I am so glad MONTI is on both STT & TPM's schedule, it is 1 hour from my house. I love NJMP but it is a 3 1/2 hr drive.

I see TPM has the 66 layout on their schedule but no full Monti. And STT has no 66 on their schedule but only 1 Full Monti. I want more Full montis dammit, LOL. I am just happy we have so many days there this year. :D

MMC might not allow too many Full days, at first the only way to do full was to be a club member! Obviously that changed, but they may not just be throwing out the full monti willy nilly!

Anybody have an idea if any alterations and/or extra safety measures are being done in the off season at MMC? Luckily, I didn't have any incidents that would have required more runoff or anything like that. But I thought I remembered hearing last year that the track was willing to work with us for safety. This probably won't stop me from riding there cause I LOVE this track...I'm just curious.
