This may have already been posted but I didn't see it anywhere. Seriously, get off a hot track ASAP!!
Point taken, GET OFF THE TRACK. If you look at the end of the video, the rider appears to throw out his shoulder to ensure he strikes the guy trying to scoop up his bike.
Just as important (actually, probably moreso) as getting off the track is paying attention to the cornerworker/flags.
Foot came off the outer peg it was not intentional. Also it was a race so people try a little harder to pick stuff up. If you do that online at a track day you should have to sit down a while. Though given the position and crest of the hill I would think a track day would have tossed a red there pretty fast. The amount of chaos that is acceptable during a race is a LOT higher. I did one where there was a boot about 1' offline coming over the bridge at Barber for the entire race for instance. I am not sure they even kept the debris flag out after a couple of laps.
as i was sliding across the track at ncm after lowsiding at around 110mph in the right sweeper at the back of the back i was sure hoping i wasnt going to end up in on the track after my ride was over .. ended up in the grass and so did my ride .. win for everyone lol except me .. but the bike and i were fine
When I crashed at Barber back in April coming out of the museum turn, I came to a stop maybe 8 feet from the grass. I stayed on my hands and knees for a couple seconds, looked to see if I was about to get hit and to make sure I wasn't broken, realized I was good, looked at my bike and saw many broken things, then I ran away lol.
