I was going to buy one of the STG suits but they sold out of the larger sizes quickly. A guy on here had one for sell last week if it hadn't already sold.

I ended up buying the Cortech Latigo suit in a 2XL flavor, it was about $600. I'm 6'1" about 215 lbs and 38x34 jeans and it fits great. Buy through Sportbike Track Gear and if you have any fitment problems with your gear, they offer hassle free returns. It took me buying 3 different suits before finding one that fit right (tried a Joe Rocket 2 pc suit too).

I also wear the Cortech Latigo boots and gloves. Found the boots on ebay cheap and gloves from a friend cheap. But they aren't too pricey new and of decent quality.

Also, you don't HAVE to wear one in Novice group starting out, but you'll eventually want to pick up a decent back protector. You're required to have a back protector under your suit in Intermediate group and up.

And Barber is a fantastic track, just take it easy until you really get used to it. It was where I done my first track day years ago and I crashed on the first free lap. First 2 sessions were guided and we got turned loose the 3rd session, I didn't even make it a whole lap and lowsided because of poor body position/too much lean angle.
