Anyone know of some hotels that are close to the track there in joliet? Some guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hey bro, there are some really close hotels, but they're not what I would call "good." therefore, I suggest the hotels located on Houbolt rd or Plainfield rd (aka Rte 30). You can call me and I'll help you out, I live and work in Joliet. 815-791-6420

So how about a roll call for autobahn in a couple of weeks! I have not been there yet so looking forward to it. Can any one give me the skinny on the north and south tracks. Have heard that they are very bumpy in spots, but is it really bad or just mild? Most people like the north or south click?

Gee, guess nobody will be at autobahn this weekend. Well just more track space for me! :D

So I have heard alot about turn 5 on the south course about how bumpy it is and alot of guys crashing there. What's the skinny? Is it really that bad? Do I need to back off in that corner, or just make sure I run a certain line through there?

I'll be there this weekend. The North track is pretty short and tight but suprisingly fun. The South track more open and fast, but dissappointingly bumpy for such a new track. It's a country club, so they have some nice facilities. Its not in the nicest area, so be carefull where you stay. Take Nick up on his offer for suggestions. Its his business to know where you don't want to end up. Leave as much as you can at the track overnight where its safe.

Turn five on the south is a little bumpy and so is the patch in turn six of the north. All in all, you will have a great time. If it is the full course, the back transistion from south to north is a ton of fun! However, if you come off the race line to the right, there might be a slight gap of air between your tires and the pavement if you hit it right. Here is a video of the north track courtesy of STAR School.
