At the last STT AutoBahn event, a group of us made a potluck dinner on Saturday night. We all had a great time eating and visiting together. Really made the evening enjoyable.

Anyone interested in a repeat performance?

There have been rumblings of a few people getting some stuff together for dinner. I'd be willing to fire up the grill and do the Steak-burgers again. Or, if someone has another idea, I'd go for it.

Post up if you plan to hang out with us Saturday night, and what you'd like to bring.

Since this is a potluck and not a sponsored dinner, bring something to share.

Store-bought deserts (bakery cookies, cakes, brownies... you get the idea) or your favorite potluck kind of food is cool. (Limited fridge space is available. See me at the track.) Don't forget your favorite beverage. We have plastic ware and paper plates to share.

    See ya'll there!

I'm debating whether or not I'll be going with friends. If I do I won't be riding, but I'll bring the smoker and do pulled pork, brisket & the fixin's. I'll know more as the week progresses. adding more pot luck would be great!

    Help @ Autobahn

    Lance:

Ann and I will be back to Autobahn this weekend and will be happy to help out with the loading/unloading and setup if you need. Steve and Katherine Ickes will also be there but for Saturday only. We are not camping Saturday but will be close by, like 5 miles, and would like to hang out on Saturday. Hope to see you this weekend,

    JC

I'd love to go, but I have to rush to my friends bachelor party right after the track day. Either one sounds like fun though.

Damn, being this is my first event this would have been an excellent after party to attend. I have plans after words not to mention a drive that takes a few hours.

So I don't want to hi-jack the thread here....

But does anyone know if we can get in Friday evening so drop gear off and possibly do some setup? If so, what time does that usually happen at? Obviously I'd feel much better with my gear at the track and not in a hotel parking lot!

    Gate time at Abahn...

    Hey Trev,

Unless things have changed, you can get in and setup after 7 PM Central Time. Camping is available for a fee, and showers are available (nice ones at that!)

    Hope this helps.

I'll probably bring a family pack of steaks or chops from Ultra Foods. You make awesome burgers, Buck!

I'm pretty new to the whole track day thing, and this will be my first track potluck. I'll be coming from Iowa on Friday and camping Friday and Saturday. I'd like to participate in the potluck, but I'm not sure what I could bring that would not perish before it got to people's stomachs. Any suggestions or recommendations?

    What to bring?

Sounds like the main course, beans and slaw, and salad are covered. We are bringing a huge fruit tray coming from the hotel frig about 10 minutes away on Saturday night. Also bringing some homemade brownies (try to keep them cool too) and extra beverages. Cheese in a can is always good!

    See you Saturday.

So, there are a few non-perishable ideas... And I have limited fridge space available, just let me know!
