alright, I've been waiting for this since last October!

    Who's going?

who's Interested In having some BBQ Saturday night? I'm trying to decide whether to bring the smoker and do BBQ Pork and Brisket (with homemade baked beans & cole slaw) or bring the BMW, and stretch the life of the tires on the gixxer.

    Post up!!!

    Cheers,

    Lance

Excellent so far- no Beemer at the Beaver, then...

to make it clear, I'm not charging for the BBQ, as I've neither asked nor received permission from Monte to do so. however, I will not refuse donations, I'll let everyone decide what they think is appropriate. Also potluck is welcome too! feel free to bring whatever to contribute.

    I'm making:

10-hour smoked pulled pork & beef brisket, (for the non-pork eaters)

Baked Beans, made from scratch with my own special recipe

    Cole Slaw, also from scratch.

    I'll also bring:

    Buns

    Plates & forks

everyone else should bring their appetites, beverage of choice, and ???

I can feed around 20 people, I may have a sign-up sheet, otherwise it's first come, first served.

    cheers,

    Lance

For anyone that hasn't tried Lance's BBQ, make it a point to. He said he couldn't hardly give it away last weekend at Grattan. Not sure if people were being shy, or if they were intimidated by his stature. Get over it either way. He's a nice guy & his BBQ Rocks!

Up 270 to Frederick. Onto 70 West toward Haggerstown/Hancock. Where 68 splits off, continue on 70 north toward Breezewood. LOTS of gas and food stops in Breezewood. From Breezewood pick up the PA Turnpike I-76 West toward Pittsburg and Ohio. Turnpike ends just before Cranberry. Maybe 20 minutes past Cranberry is exit 13 [rt.18]. Bear right off the exit. Go through two stop lights. 2nd stop light will be at a gas station on your right. About 1-2 miles after this light is the left turn to the track. It's poorly marked. Keep an eye for the small Beaverun sign on the right side of the road, very shortly after a white and blue sign for some metal fabrication factory.

From Baltimore it takes me roughly 4.5 hours. Breezewood is a little shy of a halfway mark.

My car with single-axel trailer costs $12 on the turnpike from Breezewood to Cranberry. Double-axel will cost more of-course.

    See ya there!

I wasn't completely pumped until reserving my room at the Beaver Valley yesterday. Now I'm ready. :)

My other buddy waited too long to sign up so I'm solo for this one.

at anyrate, My spots, in Intermediate Group, Sat & Sun, are available. either PM me or send me an email to gigantic(at)mac(dot)com

Ugh. I feel like I've got the flu and I've been wrenching on my bike all week (it wasn't cooperating). ... But I'm still dragging myself out there tonight. Just don't be suprised if you see me napping between sessions. LOL.

On second thought.... I wanted to be on the road an hour ago but I'm still feeling too bad to drive.

I'll make it out there if I can, but no idea when that might be. Right now I'm gonna see how I feel really early on Saturday and try to drive out then.

Man.... this is my first event in 4 years that I'll miss part of. :(

Have fun everyone! Enjoy what should be absolutely gorgious weather!
