Man was that fun. I did my first Intermediate session on Sunday. Young lad on a Duke followed me around , after we pulled in he came by . My dad was timing me and he said I(he) was lapping in the 1:13's . So I figure I must have been doing the same. Is that a reasonable time for Intermediate. I thought I was running pretty much back pack . Since Im old (44) I thought prudence was the better alternative to valor  It was hot though , ever pushed a 500lb bike up hill ( ignition went down @ the last turn on Saturday ) in full leathers in 85F weather , let me tell you it sucks
That is a very reasonable time for Int. What concerns me is your choice in pit buddies. It was a great weekend and I hope to be able to hang with you guys at Mid-Ohio in a few months.
Hey man  hope you got home safe ( no county mounties ) . Im signed up for MIDOHIO July 3rd ya gotta get there you know you do. Send me a PM with Tims email if you can .
I see you're from C-bus. There is going to be a few riders from Columbus doing either July 3 and or 4th meeting up with some Michigan contingents. I'm doing both days. We're over on www.coreriders.com if you're interesting in finding more race/track junky/non-squid sportbike riders here in Ohio.
I had a blast this weekend too!!! I can't wait to hit the track again. It's also amazing how the right side of my tires are suffering from that track too. I should still get a couple of more track days though. I'm thinking that by the time I hit mid Ohio in July I will need new ones. The only dilemma that I really ran into this weekend was that I had to borrow some drill bit's and a easy out from Monte on Saturday. (I guess breaking off a couple of bolts before tech can not be so much fun.) I actually had to drill out the old bolts and tap through them. I through some locktite on it and it's doing good. So I guess it worked. Also I want to thank whoever the advanced guy that filmed me on the third session after lunch on Sunday. He showed me some better lines that will help me out quite a bit. If it seemed like I was ignoring him it wasn't intentional. I was trying to watch the video too. I was listening though. Take it easy. I'll see whoever will be there at Autobahn North in a couple of weeks.
Thanks to all at BR for a great time. Ann and I enjoyed our first trip to this track and look forward to returning some time soon. Yes it sure was hot out there for late May but still better than morning temps in the 30's. Also want to thank our pit neighbors from Ohio and New York for sharing in the fun and all that guy BS that we get to talk about between seesions. BTW - careful if you pass a STT track coach out there, they will mark you for life! Thanks Travis for showing me the "other" race line! See you at Autobahn. John
I'll get you Tim's e-mail later today, Justin. I was actually surprised at the lack of state police on my way home. This made for a quicker trip home than my drive up. I also think I found out why I was losing upper rpm power after lunch on Sunday. The free play in the clutch adjuster was too tight so that was probably the cause. I guess the bike didn't like being dropped off the rear stand.
