The R6 is getting some love. New color on the wheels, motion pro quick turn throttle, new paint on the tank and belly pan, and I re-located the brake reservoir to make room for the new windscreen. What is everyone else doing to their bikes? Let's see some pictures.... And before someone comments on the lack of tape on my wheel weights, I'm saving something to do for tomorrow. March can't come quick enough.... [/IMG] [/IMG]
On the GSXR some temp Yellow Plates for me until I get some real ones from Tea @PopShadow... I will get them both for the GSXR and TLR once both bikes are painted...... : ) The TLR has a thread of its own....
I wound up with a new to me bike mid to late last year that I built up over the end of the season. Didn't have anything else to add to it, so it's just sat under a sheet all winter, basically ... I guess I did throw on some Vortex Clip-ons and still have to get a Brembo reservoir mount kit to relocate the reservoir, but I haven't had the chance to finish that yet. Also shined up the paint job about a month ago. Got all the rubber off and waxed it up. Here in a few weeks she'll get the usual oil change, brake bleed, pre track day maintenance.
I too bought a new to me bike and rode it once late last season. Will be having the suspension refreshed/resprung for piece of mind. Sitting on stands with no forks/shock/ wheels and nekket.
Mine got to this, well further. I removed the entire front end as well. Here we go Clutch disassembly and check Front suspension check, New oil etc Brake fluid flush and fill both ends New bars/grips/etc New tires New front wheel bearings Head gasket check Valve clearance check Air filter 5 spots of body repair (paint soon) Lots of misc repair/rewire/etc Rear suspension disassembly/check/lube Oil change (duh) Chain maintenance Head bearing clean and lube And more in sure I forgot Shortly I will be headed to by buddies "workshop" to throw some aluminum bar stock in the lathe and roll out some spare rearset pegs. I do this every winter with all my bikes. They go to the basement where the tools and work bench (bike bench) are. Helps me hold on to some sanity during hybernation.

I've spent hours drilling and safety wiring everything, and removing everything that I can legally remove in SS.The only thing left to do is a quickshifter, new frame sliders, and then suspension. $$$$ Once everything is done and the plastics are on the bike I'm going to contact popshadow for for graphics and my number plates. As for suspension I'm not sure If I should go with ken from SB or Eric from Velocity Calibrations. Both people are within 6 hours of me. I could install the shocks myself but I couldn't do the fork rebuild myself. I was debating taking the bike to them and letting them setup all the suspension heights correctly on everything. I've spoke to Eric before and got quotes from him but It seems that I hear of SB more often than I do Velocity. Anyways, Here's the bike this morning before dropping it off at the local shop to have to manual TCT installed.
Aside from cleaning and general maintenance on the track bike, I'm working on finishing a bike I've been building for 2 winters. It started its life as an XR650L. Forks, shock and rear-sets are from a CBR600rr, tank from a 75 CB400F, built the sub-frame, seat and tail. Tank and tail are primed but I still haven't landed on a color scheme yet.
This little one is sitting impatiently downstairs.. awaiting her newly colored clothing, then some little things to go on...
