So, I'm looking at getting a new lid, and it needs to be Snell approved. I'm looking at a Bell Star MIPS DLX, Which is about $550 right now, but I'm also wondering about a Shoei X 14, and if it is worth the extra price (something like $770). I'm wanting to take riding more seriously. I had originally thought about a budget of around $600, but $770 is a little far. so what do you guys think about the 2? would it be worth paying the extra for the shoei, or just go with the bell? Also if you guys have any other good options around $600, that are snell approved, suggestions are welcomed! I also really like the idea of the AGV Corsa R, but it doesn't have the Snell rating, and Snell is required for any racing I might do at my local track. I like more aerodynamic looks, usually with a big spoiler. I ride a 2008 ZX10R, so if speed is a concern, I have it. lol

For helmets in that category most important is what fits your head and riding style best. Personally for me the way the bell sits on my head is to low so when I’m in a tuck or off the bike trying to look thru a corner I wind up looking thru the brow of the helmet. I have an AGV corsa because the field of vision is wider and it fits my head better. It’s about shape of your head vs shape of the helmet.

Bell fits my head shape best. but i would reccomend the flex liner over mips.
Wera is snell or ece rated under 5 year from the production date.
Fit is most important in how helmtes work. the flex liner is better technolgy than mips.
olny thing more advanced is the 6D line of helmets
