    Hey everyone,

Someone suggested I post here in the hopes someone saw or heard something...

I am the idiot that endoed my blue 2004 R6 coming into turn 7 at Blackhawk on the last novice session of STT 7/11/2020. First off, I am okay - the way I was positioned entering the corner and came off the bike, my head and right shoulder took the brunt of it. A mild concussion, bruises, and a totaled bike are what I walked away with. So by all accounts I feel lucky as far as how much worse it could have been.

Anyway, the reason I am posting this is to see if anybody saw the crash or has any information to share on it. My memory of the event is nonexistent for the crash itself and pretty foggy up to the point when my friend picked me up from the hospital. What I described above is based solely on my friend being around today and talking to the corner worker and somebody who came by claiming "they saw my bike flying through the air" (Also the pains and soreness today). Not looking for social currency, I just genuinely want to understand what happened and figure out what series of events led to it. I don't plan on giving up riding, but clearly I have some lessons to learn and I want to make sure I get it sorted out. It is harder to learn from mistakes you don't have the physical memory of making. My best guess at this point is that I came in too fast and kept pulling harder without the experience/muscle memory built up to know it was too late, release, and coast straight into the grass.

Also I want to say sorry to everyone who suffered a shortened session because of my riding beyond my skill level. I thought I was riding at my limit but obviously that was not the case... guess that's why I am in novice. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who posts here.

    Best,
    Aaron
