On Saturday, June 9th, at Blackhawk Farms Raceway I was in Novice Group 3 with Justin Valle as instructor. From the first session through the last I felt extremely well coached. He had a breakout meeting between every session where he asked what people wanted to work on, what issues they had, and what questions they might have. When we rode, he was always looking behind him to ensure we were all together and, at appropriate times, slowing up so the group could bunch back up. He noted that one person in the group was slower than the rest and so the next session he had that person follow right behind him. After that session, I gather, he advised that person to move down a group to be in a group where his speed more closely matched that of the others. He continued to coach and advise throughout the day. I was very pleased by his service and would gladly join a group led by him again. If Justin reads this I just want to say “Thank You” for making it a memorable, safe, and instructive track day. If the opportunity presents itself to ride in a group led by you in the future I definitely plan to take it. Thank You!
