I'm signed up for both days, with a friend from NY in tow. Actually, to be fair, he's the one with a 2 bike trailer, so i guess he'll be towing me unless Poper gets all ritzy on me, we'll be camping as well. anyone close to the track know if they'll have grass planted by then? I didn't even consider that until now w/ the camping... oh, and I volunteer to bring extra scraps of plywood so no gets chewed out for denting the pristine new paddock with a side stand!
I'm going to bring plywood anyway just in case.I hope the weather is decent.I know it will be better than Wisc.,I just hope there's no rain.50's I can handle....sjould be a hoot!!
I plan on coming down. Just bought a racing SV 650 and need some track time Before starting the racing season with Fasttrax the end of the Month. Going to need lots of help!
Yeah that was fun......I had no idea I was going to win that award ,so I was on about my 5th Vodka Cranberry, only heard bits and pieces, heard a thud, and my girlfriend said "oMG,he just broke the head off that trophy"......I remember thing, poor rider who get's the award!!
I thought I was goign to make this....now I know I'm not, between kids and work conspiring against me it's just not in the cards this year - will have to wait till June for a first track day....(May for races I think - hey Truckstop....I found a 01 sv for lightweights....)
I'll be there, bringing 3 others from Indy. I'll bet I was the first to sign up for this day.....about an hour after it was available!!! I would think it would sell out. Can't wait to ride this track. Just bought a race ready SV650 and need to ride a track. C-ya all there...Bill
I will be there, but only for Saturday. SUnday is off limits that weekend according to the boss(wife). It is only 40 minutes from home for me so should be real nice! See ya in April!
i would be shocked if it doesn't sell out. For many of us, being the first motorcycle group on a new track is a once in a lifetime experience. I'll be taking tons of pictures, so 30 years from now, I can be the old guy with the photo album saying "i remember when all this was just open fields"
I'll be there with my r6 along with my neighbor (who got me into the sport), he's got an aprilia RSV. The track looks really interesting; it's gonna be my second track day and for sure it'll be a blast. SO camping is permitted on site I take it?
There is going to be a campground at the track (eventually?). According to an e-mail I received as a reply, the management of the track will let us know sometime in March whether or not we will be able to stay in the paddock with campers or have to move to the campground in the evening. My question to BG "Hello, Will participants at the motorcycling events who arrive with RVs and a trailer be permitted to stay in the paddock overnight or will they be required to move to the campground? Thank you, Dean" Their response, "We'll know the answer to this in March when we get further along with construction and closer to opening. Thanks Dean. -Brad" Dean
Does anybody want to swap a saturday advanced spot for sunday? I was just informed this is Easter...family did not like that lol...and I just freakin paid!! I have a post in the wtt/wts section.
I was just at an event that Bluegrass presented and it did not sound like the garages would be ready........ there seemed to be some question as to whether the track would be ready. They definitely did not want to be specific about any opening date.
If it's not ready for april I might have to jump off a cliff... I'm really looking forward to the first track day of the year.
If I dont get to ride in April my head will explode. I'm only an hour from this place and cant wait to see how it looks.
