I am curious what if any interest there is in going to Brainerd (BIR). I understand its a fun track to ride as long as the weather is warm and dry. Sort of like 'old' Mid-Ohio without all the rough pavement but with some of the seam sealer. Do they even rent out the road course anymore??
You are wright Brainard is a really fun track to ride. Track Addix is hosting 3 events at Brainard this year. I heard that the new owners of BIR are going to take the mile long straight and turn 1 and part of turn 2 out. I personally am allright with this because I have ridden it alot. Anybody that hasnt experianced going into a turn in 6th gear wide open, down shifting into 5th and holding it wide open for 2 has to get up there to do it while we still have the chance. I've never been there, but I'm going to be racing there with the CRA for one race on the weekend of the 16th of June. I've seen some vids of it and a friend invited me to come race and pit with him there. It really looks like fun. I must admit the first turn does look REALLY fast though. The cool thing is that my uncle is a racing fan and only lives 2 hours from there so I will get to see them. I'm looking forward to it. Of course not the drive though. YIKES!! :shock:
