Has anyone ever bought a bike from auction places like Copart? I've been looking at one as a backup track bike, since it would have a junk title/no title.

However buying on places like Copart requires a business license for stuff related to rebuilding or scraping, unless the vehicle has a clean title. (the one i'm looking at has a "junk vehicle bill of sale".)

So, has anyone ever done this before and what did you have to do to complete it? was it worth the effort?

I have bought one but not from copart. When I figured the fees to use a third party to purchase from copart it wasn't worth it.
