the DAINESE Axial Pro In are on sale at my local cycle gear. I got excited, then realized my suit probably won't fit over the boots (as they are designed). are the Dainese Axial Race good boots? I'm leaving behind some Sidi that are >8 yo. I don't care what color. I want 1)protection 2)fit 3)durability. suggestions?
How much are they? My TRQ Race Out, which are $299 and work with any suit are IMO protective, comfortable and confidence inspiring on the bike and seem to be wearing well. Hope that helps at least a little.
I am going to jump on this thread now, anyone have any opinions on the Race Out Airs? How is the ventilation? I have a pair of dainese D-wp pennier which are a great boot for most things, but not the best boot as I get into more track days, and because they are waterproof their are hot as hades. So if I could pick up a race boot that would also be a little cooler for riding in the summer heat, that would be sweet!
Mine are the Air version. My feet weren't hot at Grattan the other week, in 95 degree temps. I don't think my feet are very sensitive to the heat, though. My socks weren't nasty at the end of the day if that's worth anything.
I have dainese torq pro and they are BY FAR the best boots i've had so far. They have the stability (ankle) of a stars with flex on the sole of sidi. they feel like i'm wearing slippers LOL I have the out version. I know Chicago d-store carries them.
I agree, the Dainese are fantastic but I'm biased. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/mc_tested/122_1101_dainese_torque_out_dwp_boots/
Thanks guys. I ended up in the ladies dainese race boot. The airs were not available small enough for me. I get to test em out this weekend!
